The site’s PDB indicates “Burst Mode” in the corner of the display.  What does this mean?

The PDB displays the pressure, but pressure data doesn’t appear in the surface observation display in RWS. What is the appropriate corrective action?

 

Question: The site’s PDB indicates “Burst Mode” in the corner of the display.  What does this mean?

Answer: The pressure is changing rapidly, and the PDB is logging this change at a 10 second rate.

Question: The PDB displays the pressure, but pressure data doesn’t appear in the surface observation display in RWS. What is the appropriate corrective action?

Answer: Enter the pressure displayed on the PDB into the surface observation display manually. Contact an electronics technician and enter problem into EMRS.
